PARKING REMINDER:  When dropping off or picking up your child(ren) in the PAML ‘Bus Lane/Fire Lane,’ please remember that cars are not allowed to be parked and left unattended in this area.  Should you need to walk your child(ren) into the school, please park in the PAML Parking Lot, if space permits, or across the road in the larger parking lot.  Cars are also not permitted to park in the small space in the PAML Parking Lot facing the gym as this is reserved for turnarounds and emergencies only.  Thank you!

SAVE THE DATE!  PAML’s annual Science Palooza will be held on Friday, April 1st, 8:30-10:30am, in the cafeteria.  Family members are welcome to attend - be prepared to be amazed by the students’ informative presentations!  Should you wish to attend, please stop by the PAML Office upon entering the school to sign in.

PAML DANCE:  For grades 6-7-8 on Friday, April 8th, 7:00-9:30pm in the cafeteria.  Students may sign up a guest (from another school) to bring to the dance, and their guest must enter the dance with them.  Entry fee is $5 per student.  Students will not be admitted to the dance after 8:00pm unless permission has been previously arranged with Mrs. Weeks.

SAVE THE DATE!  PAML Spring Concert will be held on Wednesday evening, April 13th at 6:30pm in the gymnasium.

TRACK TEAM:  All girls and boys in grades 6-7-8 interested in joining the track team are encouraged to pick up a sign-up form in the PAML Office.  Should you have any questions, you may contact Natalie Soffen, Athletic Director, at 888-6400, for further information.

STERNS CENTER TUTORING FOR PAML STUDENTS:  As of the week of March 21st, there will be a temporary break in the tutoring services being provided to PAML students through the Stern Center at PAML.  They are actively looking for an additional tutor to continue working with your children.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lauren Morse or Michelle Szabo at the Stern Center by calling (802) 878-2332 or you may e-mail Lauren at lmorse@sterncenter.org or Michelle at mszabo@sterncenter.org.

5K RUN/WALK WINTER TREK FOR WARMTH will be held tomorrow (Saturday, March 19th) at 10:00am.  Registration starts at 9:00am behind the PA cafeteria.  Students - $15, Adults - $18, Kids Loop - $2.  All proceeds will go to local charities to provide heat for low income families.

PAML CUBE TUBE CELEBRATION was held on Monday, March 14th with a Chinese Acrobat Troupe performing for the students, and a few students were invited to join in for an interactive learning experience.  This celebration was held as a surprise presentation for the students as our Cube Tube had been filled to its brim.  Following the presentation, students were able to ask questions of the troupe regarding their presentation and Chinese culture.  Ask your student to tell you about the show as this act was tremendously enjoyed by all.  Check out the photos below!

REMINDER:  The PAML Dance previously scheduled to be held on Friday, March 11th, has been rescheduled to Friday, April 8th, from 7:00-9:30pm in the cafeteria.

MIDDLE LEVEL BASEBALL - LAMOILLE SOUTH COOPERATIVE TEAM:  There will be two informational/registration meetings regarding the newly-formed cooperative middle level baseball team for students at PAML, Bishop Marshall and Stowe Middle School.  This team is for students who have aged out of Little League (usually 7th and 8th graders who will be age 13 before April 30th) and cannot yet play high school baseball.  The meeting will introduce you to the coach, discuss practice and game schedules, any logistical questions and all other related baseball questions.  If your students is looking to continue playing or would like to start, all skill levels are welcome.  This is a great opportunity to be part of the inaugural season and bring middle level baseball to the Lamoille South District.  The meeting locations and times are as follows:  Monday, March 21st - 5:30pm at the PA cafeteria and Tuesday, March 22nd - 5:30pm at the Stowe Elementary cafeteria.  We look forward to seeing you there!  If for some reason you are unable to attend and would like more information or to register, please contact Ian Lanpher by e-mail at ianrvp03@aol.com.

FREE ADMISSION!  Actors from Boston are coming to Vermont to show you a funny performance about the awareness of drug addiction on Wednesday, March 23rd, 6:00-7:30pm at the PA auditorium.  Food will be available by donations at the performance.

STUDENT-LED PARENT CONFERENCES will be held at PAML on Friday, March 25th from 8:00am-4:00pm.  Each student conference will be for no longer than 20 minutes.  To schedule a conference with your student’s core teacher, please contact the PAML Office by calling 888-1401.

PROGRESS REPORTS:  Friday, March 11th

REMINDER:  The PAML Dance previously scheduled to be held on Friday, March 11th has been rescheduled to Friday, April 8th, from 7:00-9:30pm in the cafeteria.  

FAMILY FUN/DANCE NIGHT:  Bring the whole family for a fun-filled evening whether it be dancing the night away or participating in fun-filled events and raffles on Friday, March 18th, 7:00-9:00pm, in the gym and cafeteria.  Proceeds benefit the 5th grade’s annual trip to Camp Keewaydin.

PLAN AHEAD FOR SKATELAND!  There will be a roller skating trip to Skateland (http://skatelandvt.com/ in Essex Junction for students in grades 6-7-8 on Friday night, March 18th.  The bus will be leaving PAML at 5:45pm and returning at approximately 10:30pm.  Permission slips can be obtained from the PAML Office  The cost is $10 per student which covers transportation, admission to the rink, and skate rental (inline skates too).  This trip is limited to 30 students and all interested students should turn in their signed permission slips and admission fee to the PAML Office NO LATER THAN March 16th to be eligible to attend.

BEYOND BULLYING CONFERENCE:  On Tuesday, March 8th, twelve students selected from the 7th and 8th grade will be attending the Beyond Bullying Conference at the University of Vermont.  Students will attend seminars in the morning and afternoon on varied topics regarding bullying and will bring information learned back to PAML to share with their peers.

SPRING SPORT PARENT INFORMATIONAL MEETING:  Tuesday, March 8th, at 5:30pm in the auditorium.  Is your student interested in playing a spring sport?  If so, mark your calendar to attend this mandatory sports meeting for important information and to enroll your student in their selected spring sport.
