PAML SPIRIT WEEK - NOVEMBER  2nd - 6th:  Students, faculty and staff will get creative and participate in Spirit Week by dressing as noted below:
Monday: Cozy Day
Tuesday: Twin Day
Wednesday: Well-Dressed Wednesday
Thursday: Mix & Match Day
Friday: Green & Gold/Sports Day

MEADOW FARMS FUNDRAISER DELIVERY:  PAML students will be given their Meadow Farms fundraiser items on Tuesday, November 3rd, to bring home.  Please ensure your student promptly delivers these items to their customers.  

QUARTER 1 ENDS:  Friday, October 30th

REMINDER!  No school on Wednesday, November 11th, in observance of Veteran’s Day.  PAML teachers will utilize this day for in-service.

EARLY DISMISSAL:  Students will be released from school at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, October 21st, for teacher in-service.

PARENT-LED STUDENT CONFERENCES - CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT!  Student-led parent conferences will be held on Thursday, October 22nd, between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm.  If you would like to have a student-led conference with your child’s core teacher, please contact the PAML Office (888-1401) to schedule an appointment.  Call soon as slots are filling up fast!

TITLE 1 MEETING:  Parents and guardians recently received a mailing regarding Title 1 which is the largest federally funded program for elementary, middle and high schools.  The goal of Title 1 is to enable all students to be on grade level in reading and mathematics and to meet state and local standards.  For more information, please attend the Title 1 meeting on Thursday, October 22nd, 3-4pm in the auditorium.

REMINDER:  No school for students on Thursday and Friday, October 22nd and 23rd.

PARKING FOR STUDENT DROP-OFF:  The small area in the PAML parking lot facing the gymnasium is not a parking space as this space is reserved for emergency vehicles only.  Should the PAML parking be full when you arrive, please park across the road in the larger parking lot.


MORRISTOWN SKI/SNOWBOARD PROGRAM REGISTRATION:  The Morristown Ski & Snowboard Program will hold registration on October 15th from 4:00-6:00pm in the Morristown Elementary School Library.  If you cannot make these dates, registration forms will be available at the MES Office.  All registration forms must be completed and returned to the MES Office no later than October 30th, and Stowe Mountain Resort will not accept any applications after this date.  Children must be in first grade and above to participate.  Fourth graders will now be allowed to sign up for snowboarding.  Do not let your child(ren) miss this opportunity to ski or snowboard this year!

SAVING FOR SUCCESS!  The Union Bank’s Saving for Success banking program started up this morning (October 2nd).  Your middle level student may bring funds to school every Friday morning to be deposited into their Union Bank savings account between 7:30-8:00am at the Union Bank table in the PAML Lobby.  Any middle level students who presently have a Union Bank savings account, or plan to open a Union Bank savings account, are encouraged to make their money grow each Friday!

PAML OPEN HOUSE:  Tuesday, October 6th, 6:00-7:00PM.  This is an excellent time to visit PAML, locate your child’s middle level classroom, meet their teacher, and check out the projects they are working on this fall.  Members of the PAML faculty and staff as well as local community businesses will have tables set up in the gymnasium, and they will be available for your questions and discussion.  Delicious refreshments prepared by PA’s food service staff will also be available in the gymnasium!

CAMP KEEWAYDIN PARENT/GUARDIAN INFORMATIONAL MEETING:  Tuesday, October 6th, 5:00-6:00pm in the auditorium.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR:  This book fair will be set up in the library from 8:00am-4:00pm October 6th-9th, and 5:30-7:00pm on October 6th during PAML’s Open House.  Come check out the great selection of books!

PAML DANCE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  Should you be interested in volunteering as a PAML dance chaperone at the 2015-2016 dances listed below for grades 6-7-8, please contact Faith Boudreau at faithb@myfairpoint.net or (802) 363-9977.  A letter was also sent home with students today (9/25/15) with this same information.  Chaperones are required to complete a Volunteer Form prior to being able to attend a dance and, if you have not yet completed this form, you may request this form from Faith or by calling the PAML Office at (802) 888-1401.  Each dance is held on a Friday evening from 7:00-9:30pm in the cafeteria.
