Breakfast with the Legislators:  On Monday, February 2nd, several 6th and 8th graders from PAML will be joining other students from around the region to have a conversation about the future of education in Vermont with our local legislators.  This event is happening at the GMTCC in Hyde Park at 7:30 - 9:00AM.  

Early Dismissal/No School:  12 Noon dismissal for the entire LSSU District on Thursday, February 5th for local assessment scoring and no school on Friday, February 6th as it is a district-wide inservice day for the teachers.

Term 4 Expo & Expert Classes:  End on Monday, February 9th.

Reminder:  PAML students will be participating in the Vermont Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) on Friday morning, February 13th.   More information about this was in the letter included with the report card mailing last week.

Report Cards:  Quarter 2 report cards were mailed out on Friday, January 23rd - watch for them in your mailbox!

February Reminder:  12 Noon dismissal on Thursday, February 5th and no school on Friday, February 6th as the teachers will be holding a district-wide in-service.

Lost & Found:  Is your child missing mittens, gloves, scarves, jackets, etc.?  If so, please have them check for any lost items in the yellow bin located in the cafeteria.

Progress Reports:  Will go out on Friday, January 30th.  

Field Trip:  The middle level INSPIRED group, along with Peter Hathaway, will be going to Montpelier on Wednesday, January 28th to participate in Prevention Day.

Student Assessments:  Math Bridge Assessments for grades 5 and 8, and Science Inquiries for grade 7 will be conducted January 26th-29th.

French-Canadian Celebration: On Wednesday, January 21st, students across the Morristown School District will have opportunities to learn about French-Canadian culture.  At lunch they can try new foods, there will be French-Canadian music and decorations!  There may be more international days in the future.

No School on Monday, January 19th:  In observance of Martin Luther King Day, and the teachers will be participating in an LSSU-wide in-service.  PAML classes will resume on Tuesday, January 20th.  

Unbound:  The Unbound program and taxi service starts up on Tuesday, January 20th.  Be sure to turn in your Unbound registration forms!

Don’t Forget Their Hat & Mittens!  With the sub-zero temperatures we have been experiencing, ensure your child comes to school with a hat and mittens.  

Unbound Start-Up Reminder:  Homework Club will resume on Monday, January 12th and the Library will be open afternoons beginning on Monday, January 12th until the Unbound programs gets underway once again.

Quarter 2 Ends:  Friday, January 16th..

Let’s Dance!  The PAML dance will be held on Friday, January 16th, 7:00-9:30pm, in the cafeteria for students in grades 6-7-8.  

No School on Monday, January 19th:  In observance of Martin Luther King Day and the teachers will be holding an LSSU-wide in-service in Stowe.

Union Bank Student Savings Day:  A Union Bank representative is in our PAML lobby every Friday morning from 7:30-8:00am to assist students who would like to deposit funds into their Union Bank savings account.  Should your child not presently have a savings account at the Union Bank but would like to open one, this bank representative has paperwork available for students to complete, take home for parent signature and return the following Friday.  It’s that easy!
