LOST & FOUND BIN:  Please have your student(s) check in the yellow Lost & Found bin located in the cafeteria for any items they believe may have been lost or misplaced.  Any items remaining in the bin after school is dismissed for the summer will be donated to Good Will.

8TH GRADE LAST CHAPEL:  Eighth grade Class of 2020’s Last Chapel will be held on Tuesday, June 14th, 12:45-2:30pm, in the gymnasium.  Following Last Chapel PA Principal Phil Grant will meet with the 8th grade Class of 2020 in the cafeteria from 2:30-2:45pm to congratulate and welcome them to high school.

8TH GRADE STUDENT BABY PICTURES NEEDED:  If your 8th grade student has not yet brought in their baby picture for the 2016 Last Chapel video, please have them do so next week.  Pictures can be dropped off (which will be returned to you) with Mr. Noonan or sent digitally via e-mail at: shaun.noonan@lssuvt.org

8TH GRADERS TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF VERMONT:  The remaining half of the 8th grade class have been invited to the Community College (CCV) in Morrisville on Wednesday, June 8th, 9:15am-12:15pm, to visit the CCV campus, attend mock classes, hear from a CCV student panel, and learn about college opportunities.  There will also be information on financial aid and paying for college, and the goal is to help demystify college and show how affordable and accessible higher education can be on a local level.  CCV will provide busing and lunch for our students.

PAML END-OF-YEAR FIELD TRIP DAY FOR GRADES 6-7-8:  Students in grades 6-7-8 are looking forward to their end-of-year field trips on Thursday, June 9th, at the following locations:
6th Grade:  Jay Peak Pump House & Waterpark.  Students will depart PAML at 9:00am and return by 2:30pm in time to board their bus to go home.
7th Grade:  Shelburne Museum and Ben & Jerry’s.  Students will depart PAML at 8:30am and return by 2:30pm in time to board their bus to go home.
8th Grade:  Lake Champlain Waterfront, Spirit of Ethan Allen Lunch Cruise, Church Street, and Majestic 10 Movie Theater.  Students will depart PAML at 9:00am and return to PAML between 6:30-7:00pm for parent/guardian pick-up.  (Students will call from the bus to alert you to the approximate arrival time at PAML.)

INTERNATIONAL SPRING FLING:  On Friday, June 10th, 8:00am-2:45pm, all PAML students will partake in an international, multi-cultural day of learning about and participating in international presentations, games, and activities both inside the middle level and outside on the school fields.  Please ensure your student wears appropriate attire and footwear to enable them to participate in a full day of inside and outside activities.

MEMORIAL DAY FEDERAL HOLIDAY ON MONDAY:  There will be no school In observance of the Memorial Day Federal Holiday on Monday, May 30th.  Have a wonderful, safe weekend with family and friends!

MAPLE LEAF PROJECT:  Sixth grade students will participate in the annual ‘Maple Leaf Project’ for three days - Tuesday, May 31st through Thursday, June 2nd, 9:00-11:00am.  Students have been assigned to local community businesses for these three days, and will ‘learn the ropes’ of how each business is operated.  Be sure to ask your student about the business they are learning about, and what they were involved in as part of this learning experience!    

CAMP KEEWAYDIN:  Fifth grade students will depart PAML on Tuesday, May 31st at 8:30am, and return on Friday, June 3rd at 2;30pm, as they make their annual trek to Camp Keewaydin in Salisbury, Vermont which has been an ongoing tradition at PAML for over thirty years!  The Keewaydin Environmental Education Center (KEEC) offers hands-on learning in a variety of natural habitats where students are empowered with a higher understanding of how their personal daily decisions can affect the environment.  

HIGH NOTE MUSIC FESTIVAL:  Seventh and eighth grade students in Band and Chorus will travel by bus to the ‘High Note Music Festival’ being held at The Great Escape in Lake George, New York on Friday, June 3rd.  Students will depart PAML by bus at 5:00am with a return at approximately 8:00pm, and will need to be picked up at PAML at this time.
