ELMORE-MORRISTOWN UNIFIED UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING:  Tuesday, May 3rd, 5:30pm at the MES Library.

ELMORE-MORRISTOWN UNIFIED UNION SCHOOL BOARD SURVEY:  How Can We Best Communicate With You?  Please take a few minutes to complete a brief survey at

ALL-STATE PARADE IN SWANTON:  Students in 7/8 Band will travel by bus to attend this instrumental event on Wednesday, May 4th.  

CYBER SAFETY PARENT INFORMATIONAL MEETING:  Det. Ryan Bjerke of the Morristown Police Department and PAML Guidance Counselor Jessica Dambach will host this informational forum on Thursday, May 5th, 6:00-7:30pm in the PA Library.  Please plan to attend and become well-informed about cyber safety for yourself and your student.

TERM 6 ENDS:  May 6th

TERM 7 STARTS:  May 9th
SBAC TESTING ADMINISTRATION WINDOW: The SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium) test will be administered to all PAML students in grades 5-6-7-8 through the testing window dates of May 9th-13th and May 16th-20th. Get your student off to a good start with plenty of rest and a nourishing breakfast!

QUARTER 3 REPORT CARDS:  Will be mailed out on Monday, April 18th.

8TH GRADERS SHADOWING IN HIGH SCHOOL:  Week of April 25th in the afternoon

ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY UPDATE:  Effective Monday, April 25th, all PAML classrooms will be considered a Red Zone and the use of all personal devices (i.e., cell phones, iPods, mini tablets, etc.) will not be allowed.  The Green Zone where students may use their personal device will be during morning cafeteria time (7:30-8:00am) and 7/8 lunch (12:30-1:00pm).

NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE-BACK DAY!  Free and anonymous service on Saturday, April 30th, 10am-2pm at the following locations:
  • Hardwick Police Department
  • Kinney Drugs in Cambridge
  • Kinney Drugs in Morrisville
  • Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department in Hyde Park
  • Stowe Police Department

BRIDGE STREET TRAFFIC TO BE RE-ROUTED:  Bridge Street from Brooklyn Street to the truck route will be closed on or about May 1st for six weeks to replace the water lines, sidewalks and repave the street.  The “old” route through town and up Brooklyn Street will be open.  Students will all need to be picked up/dropped off on the lower end of Bridge Street.  All students that live on this section of Bridge Street will be responsible for using the traffic light to cross the truck route and get back over to that side of Bridge Street during this construction.  This will impact Bus #25-M4.

CYBER SAFETY PARENT FORUM:  Detective. Ryan Bjerke and Jessica Dambach, PAML Guidance Counselor, will present how to protect your children from others in cyberspace, ways to see what your children are doing in the cyber world, how to talk with your children about it and what to do when you are concerned, and how one post/picture can travel.  Get your questions answered!  This forum will take place on Thursday, May 5th, 6-:30pm, in the PA Library.

EMUU ANNUAL MEETING:  Monday, May 23rd, 6pm, at the Elmore Town Hall

EMUU BUDGET VOTE:  Tuesday, May 24th

EMUU - BUDGET UPDATE:  The EMUU Board has been hard at work on budget development.  We have a preliminary budget approved and hope to finalize it Tuesday, April 12th at 6:30PM at the MES Library.  Public comment and input is welcome!  Please come and share your thoughts.  The budget we are prepared to recommend maintains a high level of programming for students, and is respectful of taxpayers in both communities.  To review the preliminary budget, please go to this link:

Mark your calendars for the EMUU Annual Meeting on Monday, May 23rd, 6:00pm, at the Elmore Town Hall and the EMUU budget vote on Tuesday, May 24th.

PAML SPRING CONCERT:  Wednesday evening, April 13th, at 6:30pm in the gymnasium.

FREE MAGIC SHOW!  Bring the family and enjoy Karmen Wells’ debut performance at his family-friendly Magic Show on Friday evening, April 1st, at 6:00pm in the auditorium.  There is no admission fee and all are invited to attend - be prepared to be amazed!

QUARTER 3 ENDS:  April 8th

PAML DANCE:  For grades 6-7-8 on Friday, April 8th, 7:00-9:30pm in the cafeteria.  Students may sign up a guest (from another school) to bring to the dance, and their guest must enter the dance with them.  Entry fee is $5 per student.  Students will not be admitted to the dance after 8:00pm unless permission has been previously arranged with Mrs. Weeks.

PAML SPRING CONCERT:  Wednesday evening, April 13th at 6:30pm in the gymnasium.

TRACK TEAM:  All girls and boys in grades 6-7-8 interested in joining the track team are encouraged to pick up a sign-up form in the PAML Office.  Should you have any questions, you may contact Natalie Soffen, Athletic Director, at 888-6400, for further information.
